One year later…

It’s hard to believe that a year has come and gone since my first novel, Plain Jane Brown rolled off the press. Do they still use presses? I don’t know! What began as a distraction during the dark days of pandemic became a dream come true. I had always dreamed about writing a book but wasn’t sure that I had what it took to follow through on that dream. What it takes is time, persistence, humility and a lot of help from others! It turns out that if you write a book and would like others to read it, the work isn’t over once you write “The End”. In fact, “The End” is only the beginning of a whole other process. You re-read it. You revise it. Edit and re-edit. Then one day your book is a reality, a solid object you can hold in your hand. Now what? Now you must introduce your book to the world, or, err, perhaps that should be introduce the world to your book so here we are, one year after I first held a copy of Plain Jane Brown in my hand, I am pleased to launch my author’s website and social media accounts. I promise I haven’t spent all of the intervening year on unrelated tasks like my day job or cleaning my house. In fact, the promoting of Plain Jane Brown will not be “The End” either. Turns out, Jane had other thoughts on the matter and wasn’t content to be left on the bookshelf getting dusty. There is life in the old girl yet! Stay tuned for Jane’s next adventure!
